Every year at the beginning of March, hundreds of thousands of Harp Seals come to the ice floes around the Islands when it is time for the birth of their young, which are called "whitecoats". The sight of this immense herd spread out over the endless fields of ice and snow is truly awe-inspiring. Discover the Islands in their winter garb.

Helicopter Tour:
Depending on the weather conditions, local staff will arrange for helicopters to stop on ice floes and view the group of seals from a distance. If the weather does not allow, in order to ensure the personal safety of tourists, helicopters will not be able to stop on ice floes. Visitors can visit and watch helicopters. If you think a helicopter is not addictive, you can book multiple helicopter tours as weather and other conditions permit. Additional flight charges will vary according to the route and the hotel will inform guests of additional flight charges.

Outdoor activities and cultural exploration:
Outdoor activities include snow trekking, hiking, photo tours, watching sunrise, ice fishing, bird watching, starry nights, evening entertainment and more. Cultural exploration includes the Eastern/Central/Western guided tours of the islands, fishing explorations, cooking workshops, etc. Based on the package you choose, we will arrange activities according to your preferences.
